Innovative Ideas and Successful Pitches at INNOMEET XVI
The sixteenth edition of INNOMEET has successfully concluded, bringing together students, innovators, and professionals to explore the latest developments in student innovation and entrepreneurship. One of the highlights of the event was the MVP Competition and Pitch Contest, which provided university students with an opportunity to present their innovative ideas and startup initiatives to a professional jury.
A total of seven teams took part in the competition. Each team was given five minutes to present the problem they aimed to solve, their innovative solution, business model, and future vision. Every presentation was followed by a Q&A session, during which the jury evaluated the feasibility, market potential, and development opportunities of the proposed projects.
The MVP Competition aims to foster student innovation by identifying promising ideas and startup initiatives emerging within the university community. Beyond offering a platform for visibility, the program supports participants through professional mentoring and financial assistance, helping transform innovative concepts into viable projects.
Based on the jury’s evaluation, three teams received awards. The first prize and a grant of HUF 500,000 were awarded to Stegano IP, represented by Kana Huseynli, Yaroslav Aleksandrov, and Elio Vidhaj. Second place went to Intarzia, represented by Daniel Tóth-Szegő and Vivien Patakvölgyi, receiving HUF 300,000. The third-place award of HUF 200,000 was presented to ÚtFix, represented by Bakhtiyar Abdullayev.
The winning Stegano IP project focuses on an AI-powered digital content protection solution that embeds ownership information directly into image pixels. One of the technology’s key advantages is its ability to preserve ownership data even after images are compressed, reuploaded, or captured through screenshots, providing robust protection for digital assets. Currently operating as a functional Minimum Viable Product (MVP), the solution has the potential to offer a novel approach to verifying the origin and ownership of digital content in an increasingly AI-driven digital environment.
Following the pitch competition, the program continued with an inspiring roundtable discussion featuring László Bacsa, Dr. habil. Zsombor János Zrubka, Benedek Papp, and Örs Simon. The discussion explored the current state of student innovation, the challenges of transforming ideas into successful ventures, and the opportunities available to students interested in innovation and entrepreneurship.
Drawing on their own professional experiences, the speakers shared valuable insights into the innovation ecosystem and discussed practical aspects of developing and commercializing new ideas. The conversation highlighted that successful innovation requires not only creativity, but also perseverance, collaboration, and access to a supportive environment.
INNOMEET continues to play an important role in strengthening the university’s innovation ecosystem. The event aims to provide a platform for innovative thinking, encourage collaboration, and create opportunities for networking among students, researchers, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals. Once again, the event demonstrated the remarkable talent and creativity of students working to develop solutions for the challenges of tomorrow.
