Hackathon

The term hackathon was coined from the words hacking and marathon, used typically for two-day business idea competitions. In Hungary, similar competitions were organised since the early 2010’s, mainly as a means of stimulating entrepreneurship in the start-up world.

SMART University Student Hackathon

Óbuda University has launched a student competition to promote innovation and improve the quality of student services. 

VetaThon

The University of Veterinary Medicine, in partnership with the Óbuda University, invited its students to take part in an exciting intellectual competition. The hackathon, called VetaThon, invited participants to come up with creative and at least theoretically feasible solutions to real and current world problems. The theme of the competition is “Animals and the pandemic”.
